WooHoo Another swap finished

I am loving these holidays! I have just finished another swap, this time it's Greta and Amy's Fantastic Kit Swap VII (I can't believe we've done seven!).
Apart from the glare, I love the look of all 9 together in their pockets.
These were done while the temperature crept up to 40o today! But not inside, I can't function at all in hot weather so my husband knows how to look after me, 3 air cons going at once! I did get into the pool for a bit but the radiating heat outside was too much, a great day for inside activities.

***Merry Christmas***

Santa was very good indeed this year, everyone got at least something that was wanted. I bought myself Dior Poison (perfume), Dale got his GPS, Adam wanted pillows (he got 4), Emma got the Spicegirls CD/DVD pack and Sarah got her ipod, although we still can't get any songs on it! And the family present was a Wii.

Periphery Swap

I love these new atc's, ready for Arty Oz swap.

Christmas Cards

Finally done! Posting them is another matter. I bought a pack if 20 Christmas 45c Postage Stamps and don't know what I've done with them. Many years ago I posted my cards out on New Years Eve and I vowed not to be that late again.........it's the thought that counts isn't it?!

Early Christmas

Look what Gail gave me today!! It wasn't wrapped (and I paid for it) so I can open it before Christmas,- Timbo Scissors!!!! Gail ordered two pairs from the US, don't you love the internet? Thanks again Gail :)

Christmas Cards

Can you believe it? I was getting things organised to take to Hann Made tonight to do my Christmas Cards during our final workshop for 2007 when a desperate Cheryl rang to tell me the place was flooded! We had some wild storms and flash flooding everywhere this afternoon and our house was OK but not so at Hann Made. The streets in Mentone shopping centre are notorious for flooding but all this water came in from above, the roof couldn't handle it all and came streaming in down the walls. The carpet is soggy and our workshop supplies are ruined.

No Christmas Cards this year

And this is why. I have become absolutely obsessed with these glass ornaments, each one better than the last. My first was a bit of a disaster but was graciously received (thanks Deb) and with encouragement from teacher Jen Crossley I can't seem to stop!

The last couple haven't been soldered yet, Dad's soldering iron doesn't always work (I just have to wait until it's ready!). All are personalised gifts, I hope I can get them in the mail before Santa comes (unlike my cards!)

Happy Birthday Tristan

It's a long standing tradition that we swap Christmas presents at McDonalds at the end of the term and Tristan's Birthday is celebrated too! It started as a way to keep the kiddies happy after all the primary school celebrations were over. No one is is in Primary School any more but it's Christmas, it's a tradition and Tristan is 17 tomorrow. Happy Birthday Tristan.

Arty Oz Work

My puzzle piece returned to me today, having travelled around the country for embellishing since October. It includes additions by Elaine, Vanessa, Helen and Kaeren, it looks fabulous don't you think?

Hann Made Class

Sarah made these placemats last week, featuring a photo of her on Santa's lap! (Sarah is 14)

More Christmas Crafts

This is certainly the time of the year for creating. Sarah is following me around like a lost puppy now she has finished school and is desperately counting down the sleeps until Santa comes (aren't we all). So I can only shop/wrap presents when she is otherwise occupied, or we do craft together.

We both did workshops with Jenny Crossley who taught us soldering. My first piece was a bit rough, the second will be given to Gail for Christmas and my third piece couldn't be soldered as my Dad's old soldering iron would not heat up! The gold tape looks very nice on it's own if I may say so myself. But this morning I turned on the iron and hey presto! The heat light went on and stayed on. That's when Sarah took over and finished what she made over the weekend, a lovely necklace with the word WONDER on it. I am wearing it now to show off to all my friends! Thanks Jen.

Christmas Crafts

Sarah has finished school for 2007 so we spent the afternoon doing some projects we have been planning for a while.

Firstly, our countdown to Christmas tree, there are 25 numbers and we could either do the date or "how many sleeps". Sarah chose the latter.

The organiser is all Sarah's work, for her desk.

***COUNTDOWN***

Tonight's the night, my special moment with Doc Neeson is on Channel 2 9pm, The Countdown Spectacular 2. Emma and I were about 5 rows from the front. This fantastic concert was in August and Rick Springfield is still my screensaver.

Busy, busy, busy. These are some of my creations this month. Kris Kringles for Arty Oz and Crafty Mums and "Keys" swap, also Arty Oz. Hopefully they will arrive at their destination before the recipients see this!
